OMNITECH PRODUCTS – Resistance Welders

(Mini Weld Guns)

Omnitech manufactures various models of portable, lightweight air-operated resistance welding guns for use in the manufacturing industry. The Omnitech Mini Weld Guns were originally designed for small appliance conveyor line assembly operations, where it wasn’t practical to remove the small appliance sub-assembly from the conveyor, position it in a bench type welder then return the welded sub-assembly to the conveyor. The introduction of Omnitech’s air-operated portable weld guns to the small appliance industry resulted in increased throughput and reduced operator fatigue.

Since the 1960’s Mini Weld Guns have found their way into other industries such as the manufacture of TV picture tubes, aircraft honeycombs, electrical apparatus, and wherever it makes more sense to take the welder to the product!

All of Omnitech’s weld guns are lightweight, hand-held, and air operated. They produce consistent welds and help reduce operator fatigue. These models are portable and maneuverable in any position and may be used for automated welding (custom or Robotic) or be bench mounted with optional accessory mounting hardware.

The Model 100 Mini Weld Gun is a compact, lightweight - only 16 oz. - scissor type mini gun. This hand portable unit is recommended for small appliance, instrument or electronic production line welding. The Model 100 is available in a standard version or a water-cooled version.

Model 100 Specifications

  • Weight - 16 oz.
  • Size - 8-1/4" long x 1-3/4" deep x 7/8" wide
  • Electrode Pressure - Approx. 23 lbs. at 80 p.s.i.
  • Throat Depth - 1-5/8"
  • Electrode Diameter - 3/16"
  • Electrode Travel - 1/4"
  • Water-cooled version (Model 100-WC)
  • The Model 150 Mini Weld Gun is also a scissor type gun used in situations where a minimum of brass/copper contamination is allowed to come into contact with the parts being welded. Currently this weld gun is being used for welding in the picture tube industry and is only available without water-cooling.

  • Weight - 16 oz.
  • Size – 9-3/8" long x 1-15/16" deep 1-1/16" wide
